I can't believe they are dead....

I am so shocked, angry and confused over this tragic event. I just can't believe it happened..... I can't help but wonder why this had to happen to such a great father who really loved his family, and two innocent little girls....


Fred Hubner

NEW HARMONY — Fredrick William Hubner III, age 34, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at his rural New Harmony res

idence from injuries received in a fire. He was born July 2, 1971, in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Fredrick William Hubner Jr. and DeAndrea Smith.

He worked for Warehouse Services Inc., where he was Warehouse Manager. He was a member of the Mount Vernon Conservation Club and Sons of the American Legion.

His twin daughters, Hannah Renee and Madison Laura Hubner, also lost their lives in the fire.

Surviving is his wife of four years, Angel Dawn (Dutton) Hubner of New Harmony, Indiana; his daughter, Ondrea Dezare Hubner of Evansville, Indiana; his mother, De Smith of Mount Vernon, Indiana; and his father, Bud Hubner Jr. of Florida; his two sisters, Latisha Smith of Mount Vernon, Indiana, and Amber Held of Boonville, Indiana; his uncle Emiel "Mo" Smith of Mount Vernon, Indiana; his niece Lindsey Simmons and his nephew Andrew Held; and his cousins Brandon Smith and Stephanie Russell.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main Street, Mount Vernon, Indiana, with burial to follow in Marshall Ferry Cemetery in Maunee, Illinois.

Family and friends may call from noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Contributions can be made to the Dezare Hubner College Trust Fund in care of De Smith.

NEW HARMONY — Hannah Renee Hub-ner, age 3, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at her rural New Harmony res

idence from injuries received in a fire. She was born on December 21, 2002, in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Fredrick William III and Angel Dawn (Dutton) Hubner.

Hannah enjoyed swinging, riding her bike, and especially talking on the phone.

Her father and twin sister, Madison, also lost their lives in the fire.

She is survived by her mother Angel Dawn (Dutton) Hubner of New Harmony, Indiana; her sister Ondrea Dezare Hubner of Evansville, Indiana; her maternal grandparents William Allen, Jr. and Pamela Gail Dutton of Barboursville, West Virginia; her maternal great-grandmothers, Laura Mount of Glenwood, West Virginia, and Freda Annette Kuhn of Barboursville, West Virginia; and her maternal great-grandparents, Connie and Lloyd Morrison of Ona, West Virginia; and her paternal grandmother DeAndrea "De" Smith of Mount Vernon, Indiana; and her paternal grandfather, Bud Hubner Jr. of Florida; and her uncle William Allen"Alley" Dutton, III;and aunts Latisha Smith and Amber Held; and cousins.
